M27, the Magnificent Planetary Nebula

My wife and I have sketched this beautiful nebula at least twice, but a recent post by a sketcher reminded me that it had been too long since I had seen it’s array of colors and shapes. We show this object during demonstrations quite often, but it always draws a gasp when we display it with astro video so guests can see the colors. Last night I decided to study it again, but the sketch was not done well so I went back to it tonight. This time I took a little more time with just the colors and shapes. For the reader….you must understand that the sketch is a simplified pointer to the Mighty God that created this wonderful piece of heavenly scenery, so I declare his wonderful works with a little signpost: the sketch.
